Crumbly Woods is |
Crumbly Woods is effectively the antithesis of [[Mel's World]]. It has a good groundwork for an amusement park, being already well developed with rides and theming, but its rides are fairly old. The average age of the rides in the park is about 13 years, making them unreliable and subject to high down-time—or worse, a [[crash]]. |
||
Achieving the scenario goals will be more difficult if you retain the aged pre-built rides, which doesn't mean that you ''have'' to take them out. Replication has the advantage of increasing it's admission price and the disadvantage of replication time and cost. You may wish to replicate the pre-built rides to renew the "Built: This Year" value by closing the original and using it as a guide to chasing with new construction while chipping it away. Although replication is subsidized by the demolition of the original, the result will cost 2/3 that of scratch built, increase reliability and decrease down-time. Helpful hint: When you begin replication and duplicate attributes remember which is being demolished and which is the result by renaming the demolition to ''X'' or ''old'' then giving the new coaster a new coaster name and color (or choose the original name.) |

Crumbly Woods has one major problem: the rides are very outdated, unreliable, and don't bring in as much of a profit. You have three strategies to follow in this objective; you can either replace the old rides with new ones (demolishing all of the old rides), persevere with the old ones by building new ones, or rebuild all the rides in their original place. |

First, you should pause the game. If you wish to place a gate fee, you may do so, but charge no more than $10.00 and adjust ride prices accordingly. Then you have to hire enough staff and set patrol areas. You will need lots of staff to keep the park clean, especially around the Whiplash, since the paths are very long and complicated (for handymen). Save the track designs of the two smaller roller coasters--Whiplash can be saved trouble-free, but Mean Squeak will require the underground sections to be demolished first. This won't work with Woodchip Woodchip, since it has too many underground parts. Even though you can just let them be, rebuilding the rides can allow you to make an incredible amount of money and attract far more guests with them. |

==={{Roller Coasters 2D}}=== |

After saving the track design of all the rides, unpause the game. First, demolish Crazy Critters at the back of the park. This ride is very problematic, because it's too long and the people who are on it just want to leave, and the people who are in the line for it just get angry. Be quick, and remake all the stalls and gentle rides. Now, make some benches and litter bins throughout the park. Renew the other roller coasters by using the track designs you saved. Last, destroy and reconstruct Woodchip Woodchip piece-by-piece or replace it with a custom roller coaster. It would be recommended to rebuild Woodchip Woodchip exactly as it was, because you may charge an admission as high as $6.00 if no gate fee is in place due to its very high excitement rating. |

Now, it's time to construct some other rides throughout the park, mostly thrill rides to attract more guests. Build another path through the park to connect the entrance area with the fantasy-land, so your guests can walk in a circle. Add gentle and thrill rides along this path as you research them. |

When you have enough money, construct a good roller coaster in the fantasy-land, where Crazy Critters was located. Build the station at the same place, then build a lift hill followed by a loop at the mushrooms area. The chessboard area can be used for some underground sections, and the candies area for another loop. Some zig-zags and helixes sections at the lawn area and you've made a big roller coaster. If you want, you can increase the excitement rating by building an interlocking go-karts or car ride track in the fantasy-land. |

Don't worry if your park isn't too big, you can safely achieve your objective by building until the merry-go-round area and until the Whiplash area. If you are losing guests, don't be afraid about using marketing campaigns. Just keep an eye on the rides constantly and you will achieve your objective with more guests than required. |

Overview
A large park with well-designed, but rather old rides. Replace the old rides or add new rides to make the park more popular.
Crumbly Woods is effectively the antithesis of Mel's World. It has a good groundwork for an amusement park, being already well developed with rides and theming, but its rides are fairly old. The average age of the rides in the park is about 13 years, making them unreliable and subject to high down-time—or worse, a crash.
