Diamond Heights is already a successful theme park with great rides - develop it to double its value.
Diamond Heights is the first of only a few scenarios with a Park Value goal in the original RollerCoaster Tycoon and RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic. There are already several pre-built rides which work well, but they are slightly old, with Agoraphobia and Claustrophobia being prone to crashing with the next Station Brakes Failure. Still, this scenario should pose few problems.
The Steel mini roller coaster Arachnaphobia has been replaced by a Spiral Roller Coaster with the same name. Its design is almost the same as the original but its spiral lift hill isn’t as tall, it only goes up 15 meters. The track features an additional helix element. Now the ride operates trains with just two cars per train. The list of available and researched rides has also been upgraded.
The Spinning roller coaster trains are not available in RCT Classic
This park has got the Compact Inverted Coaster available for research instead of the Inverted Coaster. It features the same 2-seater cars as the Inverted Coaster of vanilla RCT1.
This is the first scenario seen on the title sequence of vanilla RCT1. Even with both add-on packs installed, Diamond Heights still has the most amount of camera shots (seven shots).
Diamond Heights is one of the three parks that were included in the RollerCoaster Tycoon demo, the other two being Forest Frontiers and Evergreen Gardens.
As stated on the original Rollercoaster Tycoon website, the rides in Diamond Heights are named after characters from a children's play, "Indiana Jane & The Doppelganger Diamond", which was written by Chris Sawyer in 1997.
This park appears to contain references to Indiana Jones, as well as parodies of themes and characters.
