Extreme Heights is one of the expert scenarios available in Tycoon 2. The park is set in the middle of a desert, and you are free from financial limits. The best way to describe the park is it is a more difficult version of Arid Heights from the Tycoon games. It has similar victory conditions, however you are required to generate more guests in this park. The park starts off with a pre-built roller coaster and a few shops.

This is a park that will consist mostly of Roller Coasters. At the beginning of the scenario, no gentle rides are available, and you are limited with your thrill rides. During the course of the scenario, you'll devlop a few, but the game researches mostly new Roller Coasters and Themes.

This isn't neccessarily a bad thing, due to the amount of space you have and the lack of financial restrictions. Keeping the rating above 700 should not prove to be a very difficult challenge, because a rather successful roller coaster already exists. The biggest challenge of this particular park is actually playing through long enough to attract the required amount of guests. If you have a lot of time on your hands, you shouldn't find this park all that difficult.

Attractions 2D
Notice, that if you click on your guests you will see that your guest intensity rating is "6 and above", so gentle coasters won't work out, good coasters to attract guests to the park is a coaster with high excitment rating, but keeping the intensity of the rides extreme or very high, or no-one will ride.

Guests will typically not be interested in thrill rides. The only ones that are intense enough are Enterprise, Launched Freefall, and Top Spin (Berserk Mode). Other than that, roller coasters with an intensity of 8 to 11 are ideal for the guests. An excitement rating of over 9 will attract guests to the park, this can easily be accomplished with a lot of scenery and intertwining of all of your coasters.

Scenario finished in late Year 9.

Overview

Free of financial restrictions, your challenge is to expand this desert park to attract people seeking ultimate thrills.

Extreme Heights is one of the expert scenarios available in RollerCoaster Tycoon 2. Set in the middle of a desert, this park is free from financial limits, making it a more difficult version of Arid Heights from the RollerCoaster Tycoon games. It has similar victory conditions, however more guests are required here, despite the headstart given by a pre-built roller coaster and a few shops.

Pre-built Rides

Flaming Fury (Twister Roller Coaster)

 • Excitement: 8.01 (Very High)
 • Intensity: 9.65 (Very High)
 • Nausea: 5.56 (High)

Other Notes

 • In some international versions of the game, this scenario is called Vertigo, and as such appears as the last in the Expert Scenarios tab of vanilla RCT2. This scenario, however, is not to be confused with the RCT1 scenario Vertigo Views that is also translated as 'Vertigo' in some versions of the first opus.
