Downloadable Content
Downloadable Content (often abbreviated to DLC) is content that is not included with the game, but can be downloaded from the game publisher/creator. It can be free or paid, but all DLC released for RollerCoaster Tycoon is free. (The expansion packs for RollerCoaster Tycoon 1, 2 and 3 do not count as DLC.)
RollerCoaster Tycoon
Scenarios
- The Alton Towers and Fort Anachronism scenarios were first released as DLC for the base version of RCT1 before being bundled with Loopy Landscapes.
- Several competition scenarios were released, each with the objective of "Build the best <ride name> you can!". These were the only scenarios in RollerCoaster Tycoon to have this objective. (It is technically still present in RCT2, but it's impossible to create a scenario that utilises it.)
- Three promotional scenarios were created for inclusion with magazines: PC Player, PC Gaming World and gameplay.
