Whispering Cliffs

From RollerCoaster Tycoon Wiki Wiki, the RollerCoaster Tycoon encyclopedia that anyone can edit.

Overview

Whispering Cliffs consists small piece of land featuring huge cliffs. The land stretches from one side to the other of the land, but the width of the park is only about 10 tiles. No land or construction rights can be purchased, which make building very difficult. Roller Coasters are very hard to build, because of the lack of space and height restrictions. The player will often find himself using nearly all of the available space. Whispering Cliffs has no rides or stalls or whatsoever when you take control of it. It comes with a path leading to nowhere though.

Objectives

Have a park value of $17,000 by the end of October, Year 3.

Description

Develop the seaside cliffs into an thriving amusement park.

Scenario Guide

Since there's only a limited amount of space avaiable in Whispering Cliffs, its advised to concentrate on the smaller rides, like the thrill and gentle rides. It doesn't really mater where you place your rides, but don't forget to block off the path to the side where there aren't any rides, simply because people will wander there for ages. Think twice when you want to place a ride somewhere; there is a very limited amount of usuable tiles on this map. Aslong as you slowly expand your theme park and make sure there's a wide variation of gentle/thrill rides this map shouldn't be too hard. Note that the park also consists of parts of a sea which covers the whole shoreline and which are 4 or 5 tiles thick. Raising this land will give you some extra building space.

Trivia

-Whispering Cliffs is an existing cliffside in Iceland. Since it's located on the coastside and since Iceland has a similar environment as in the in-game Whispering Cliffs it could be a remake of the real-life Whispering Cliffs.

-Whispering Cliffs actually is a pretty good park for a singel wooden roller coaster, due to the park not having much height differences and since it's very wide.
