Line 8:
Certain roller coasters types can crash in different ways; the [[Bobsled Roller Coaster]], [[Reverser Roller Coaster]], [[Flying Turns]] and [[Wooden Side-Friction Roller Coaster]] can crash as a result of cresting hills too quickly. As the trains/cars on these roller coasters are not attached to the track, they can fly free when going over hills. Sometimes they may pass tests, but after opening, the added weight of guests will cause it to move faster and may crash. [[Water Slide]]s can crash in a similar way, though these crashes are preventable by using closed track at the crests of high-speed hills. The [[Ghost Train]] and [[Haunted Mansion Ride]] will crash if they travel round a curve too fast.

This is a certain condition that keep in mind building these rides may have to think about speed on peaks of next crests.
* Bobsled Roller Coaster - 30 mph at highest speed.
* Flying Turns - 28 mph at highest speed
* Reverser Roller Coaster - 30 mph at highest speed
* Wooden Side-Friction Roller Coaster - 25 mph at highest speed
* Water Slides - 30 mph at highest speed
* Ghost Train or variant - 30 mph at high speed
Another ways to design may regard of curves. Only Ghost Train or variant occurs.
* 15 mph for small curve
* 19 mph for large curve
Other rides that may crash include the [[Whoa Belly/Launched Freefall]]. The Whoa Belly can only crash when the launch speed is set too high and it leaves the vertical section, crashing when it hits the top of the tower. Roller coasters set to "powered launch mode", such as the Shuttle Loop, can crash similarly, if they fly off the track from a launch that is too fast.

It is also possible for a [[Log Flume]] to crash, especially if a reverser segment is located shortly after a large drop.

In Roller Coaster Tycoon 2, besides Powered Launched Mode can fly off the track, these is another option to be possibly crashed. Normally when the train accelerates and attempts to return to the station, only [[Looping Roller Coaster]] must build backward part to prevent derailing ([[LIM-launched Roller Coaster]] or [[Corkscrew Roller Coaster]] don't need to build) but when the Brakes Failure occurs, the Looping designs will take benefit as the train cannot be stopped but still keeps in the track unlike LIM and Corkscrew that the train cannot be kept in the station and derailing. Meanwhile in first game, there is an universal glitch that Station Brakes Failure occurs in Powered Launched and the train try to derail from the station but it stops at the end for a while before launching again.

Remember, [[Reverse Freefall Coaster]] is impossible to have Station Brakes Failure so don't worry about derailing at the end of the station.
