• January 27th, 2010 - Ride and Scenario Exchange open
• May 13th, 2010 - Sony Pictures Animation has the rights to a movie based on the "Roller Coaster Tycoon" video game franchise, with plans to make a "live-action/CGI hybrid." Harald Zwart is involved with the project.
• August 14th, 2010 - "A message to our RCT Faithful" appeared on the Atari Forums disscussing the next installment to the seires.

2011

• March 25th, 2011 - Miranda Cosgrove, Jennette McCurdy, Taylor Momsen, AnnaSophia Robb, Debby Ryan, Victoria Justice, Keke Palmer, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, Kali Thorne, Ashley Argota, Bridgit Mendler, Raven Goodwin, Emily Osment, Meaghan Martin and Ciara Bravo will portray the seventeen girls (Malina, Rosetta, Lizzie, Sally, Jamaica, Barbara, Alicia, Marissa, Leona, Rachael, Lucy, April, June, July, Isabelle, Hayden, and Malina's younger sister, Zooey) as the main protagonists, Joshmegazord as Malina's boyfriend, Manny, and Alec Baldwin will portray Mayor Larry, the main antagonist.
