Crumbly Woods is a park with a good groundwork for a park set up already, with good ride designs. But the rides are incredibly old! The average age of the rides in the park is about 13 years. Thus, they have low reliability and high down-time. So, this park is very more difficult than the other ones, but it can be beat by a very simple way.

Overview

A large park with well-designed, but rather old rides. Replace the old rides or add new rides to make the park more popular.

Crumbly Woods is a park with a good groundwork for a park set up already, with good ride designs. But the rides are incredibly old! The average age of the rides in the park is about 13 years. Thus, they have low reliability and high down-time. So, this park is much more difficult than the other ones, but it can be beat by a very simple way.

Scenario Guide

Remember:
  • The Scenario Guide below is only a suggested strategy for completing this scenario—it may not work for all players.
  • The General Scenario Guide and Hints and Tips articles may also provide helpful information in completing this scenario.
  • There are usually multiple strategies to successfully completing a scenario; these can be discussed on the scenario's discussion page or written down in an existing or additional section of this article.

Although there's a high demand of guests, you start this scenario with 600 guests already, making this scenario goal to have only more 600 guests in the three years.

Crumbly Woods has one major problem, the rides are very outdated. The rides are old, unreliable, and don't bring in as much of a profit. You have three strategies to follow in this objective, you can either replace the old rides with new ones (destructing the old rides), persevere with the old ones by building new ones, or remaking all the rides in their place.

First, you must pause the game. Then, let's fix everything for now. Increase the entrance fee to $10,00. It can't be more than that because your guests just will go away of the park. Now, you have to fix the prices of all the rides (even you will remake them later). Then, you have to hire your staff. Hire about 20-30 handymen, 10-15 mechanics and 10-15 security guards. Now, close the ride "Crazy Critters" at the back of the park. This ride is very problematic, because it's too long and the people who are on it just want to leave, and the people who are in the line for it just get angry. Then, "Woodchip Woodchip" needs to have saved its track design. You must save the track design of all the roller-coasters in this park. Even though you can just let them like they are, if you rebuild the rides you can make an incredible amount of money. After save the track design of all the rides, unpause the game. Be quick, and remake the merry-go-round, the haunted house, and the ferris wheel, fixing the queue paths. Fix the prices and remake all the stalls, throughout all the park. After, destroy "Crazzy Critters" - this area will be important later - and make a pathway to connect the area of the park entrance with the "fantasyland" area. Now, make some benches and litter bins throughout the park. Now, destroy "Woodchip Woodchip" and construct a new one at the same place (but you'll have to remake the underground sections), with the track design that you saved before. Make the same with the other two roller-coasters. Now you park is with all the rides new. Woodchip Woodchip, now remade, can make $8,500 an hour, and the other roller-coasters can make $4,000!

Now, it's good to construct some other rides throughout the park, mostly thrill rides for attract more guests. When you have enough money (because all that operation must be cost a lot of money), construct a good roller-coaster in the fantasy-land. A good strategy is to build the station at the same place where was the "Crazy Critters" station. Then build a good rise and a loop at the mushrooms area. The chessboard area can be used for some underground sections, and the candies area for another loop. Some zig-zags and helixes sections at the lawn area and you've made a big roller-coaster. If you want, you can increase the excitement rating by building a go-karts track in the fantasy-land too.

Don't forget to put one mechanic for each roller-coaster with more than one train. Besides, guest frequently get lost in this park. So, it's good to build pathways to facilitate the guests moving. An aquatic ride also can be useful. Don't worry if your park isn't too big. You can safely achieve your objective building until the merry-go-round area and until the "Whiplash" area. If you are losing guests, don't be afraid about using marketing campaigns. Just keep an eye on the rides constantly and you will achieve your objective with more guests than required. This will take up a lot of your time to get to the required objective, but you can rely on advertising to make up for it. This is a rather challenging objective thanks to a limited time from using the most effective strategy.
