Other Information

In RollerCoaster Tycoon 3, gentle slope is different from all other coasters for it being 12.5°.

OpenRCT2 included Alpine Coaster's track in v0.4.1 and the Alpine Coaster Cars were added in v0.4.3. With Alpine Coaster Cars, riders can also slow down their vehicle on their own at any time. Up-slopes are always on chain lift to make sure riders can climb up lifts and chain lifts cannot be added manually unless if "allow chain lifts on all track pieces" cheat is active. However, because riders can adjust their own speed, some riders may not be able to climb up unchained lifts, which is why up-slopes have a chain lift by default.

In Real Life

  • The Alpine slide is very common. It can be found in large mountains and ski resorts.
