Water
Water is a land feature in all games in the RollerCoaster Tycoon series. There are some rides such as the Boat Hire that can only be built on bodies of water. Water has a grayish blue appearance. It is possible to see through water using the eye menu.
In RollerCoaster Tycoon and RollerCoaster Tycoon 2
Water can be raised and lowered like land and has its own button next to the one for land. When water is placed, the bottom takes the shape of the land below. Water does not flow, but instead can be raised and lowered in sections, showing vertical faces, just like land. However, water cannot be sloped, for obvious reasons.
Most things cannot be built underwater, but when built above the surface, support structures extend to the bottom of the water. Some scenery objects such as walls can be placed underwater. Guests and staff will drown a short time after being dropped in water.
