From RollerCoaster Tycoon Wiki Wiki, the RollerCoaster Tycoon encyclopedia that anyone can edit.

Although it was a bit of getting used to I think the logo is allright. Another way to change the logo is to create one from scratch. It requires some editing and I guess a lot of screenshots from RollerCoaster Tycoon 3, but it will at least make the logo one of a kind. As seen on the poll, currently people don't like the new logo, I don't see a way to make a better one taking the RCT2 logo as start. You did the best you could.
