Toilets

Bathrooms (also known as Restrooms in RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 and Toilets in RollerCoaster Tycoon 3) are integral to any park. Guests need to use the bathroom, and will leave the park if there are no facilities available. Guests have a bathroom need which increases over time, and will enter the bathroom when their need rise above a certain value. "Urgent" guests will run around the park with their hands clutching their groin. Guests will pay a small fee for use of the bathrooms, if one is set, but they will get unhappy and complain after a while.

Placing a lot of bathrooms in an organized order will soon be rewarded with a "Best Bathroom Facilities In The Country" Award.

Notes

In the UK versions of RCT1 and RCT2, as well as in RCT3, this building is called Toilets. In the US version of RCT1, it is called a Bathroom, while the US version of RCT2 calls it a Restroom.
There is also a log cabin-shaped version in RCT2, which appears separately in the build menu.
Interestingly, when you set the view mode to "See through Rides", you can see guests in the bathrooms. They do not appear to be doing their business. Instead, they are shown to be standing at a spot, and all the bathroom users at the current instant appear to use the bathroom at the very same spot!
This facility looks completely different in RCT3, where it takes the form of 4 toilet cubicles instead of a toilet building. It is also accessible through all 4 sides in RCT3, as opposed to only the front in RCT1 and RCT2.

Income from bathroom fees is counted as "ride tickets" in the financial summary page, but this is changed to "other costs" in RCT 3, and operating costs are moved there as well.
