The main reason to build a food court is to keep peeps from complaining that's "it's too crowded here." If you put them slightly off from the main path, guests that are hungry will use said path. The problem thereon lies in Pathfinding. If a guest thinks it's easier to get to a ride by going through the food court, then they may cause overcrowding or get lost. Food courts do have lots of benches close by for peeps so they don't have to walk far from their food/drink stand.
