I'm pretty sure you can change that by going in the Advanced Graphics option. In the options menu, there's a Graphics tab, then an Advanced checkbox under that. Tick that and you'll be able to mess around with the graphics more. But I'm not sure exactly how to stop that specific problem. Maybe you'll be able to figure it out with my tip? Or someone else who knows for sure could help.
Also, making a whole new page for a question might not be proper etiquette. Might want to delete it once you've got your answer.
