Unlike other water rides, the Submarine ride runs on a underwater track. When underwater, only the top of the submarine sticks out 5ft.

Even though guests ride in an enclosed submarine, it is not considered an indoor ride.

Most probably based off of Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage in Disney Land Park, CA.
