• May 13th, 2010 - Sony Pictures Animation has the rights to a movie based on the "Roller Coaster Tycoon" video game franchise, with plans to make a "live-action/CGI hybrid." Harald Zwart is involved with the project.

• February 1st, 2011 - Miranda Cosgrove, Jennette McCurdy, Taylor Momsen, AnnaSophia Robb, Debby Ryan, Victoria Justice, Keke Palmer, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, Kali Thorne, Ashley Argota, Ciara Bravo will portray the thirteen girls (Malina, Rosetta, Lizzie, Sally, Jamaica, Barbara, Alicia, Marissa, Leona, Rachael, Lucy, April, and Malina's younger sister, Zooey) as the main protagonists, Joshmegazord as Malina's boyfriend, Manny, and Alec Baldwin will portray Mayor Larry, the main antagonist.
