• January 27th, 2010 - Ride and Scenario Exchange open.
• May 13th, 2010 - Sony Pictures Animation has the rights to a movie based on the "RollerCoaster Tycoon" video game franchise, with plans to make a "live-action/CGI hybrid." Harald Zwart is involved with the project.
• August 14th, 2010 - "A message to our RCT Faithful" appeared on the Atari Forums disscussing the next installment to the seires.

2011

• February 19, 2011 - RCT3 Building Exchange opened as an extension to the Ride Exchange.
• July 1, 2011 - Chat is enabled.
• July 7, 2011 - Miranda Cosgrove, Jennette McCurdy, Taylor Momsen, AnnaSophia Robb, Debby Ryan, Victoria Justice, Keke Palmer, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, Kaili Thorne, Ashley Argota, Bridgit Mendler, Raven Goodwin, Emily Osment, Meaghan Martin, Samantha Boscarino, Molly C.
