- July 27th, 2009 - Awards System Begins
2010
- January 27th, 2010 - Ride and Scenario Exchange open.
- May 13th, 2010 - Sony Pictures Animation has the rights to a movie based on the "RollerCoaster Tycoon" video game franchise, with plans to make a "live-action/CGI hybrid." Harald Zwart is involved with the project.
- August 14th, 2010 - "A message to our RCT Faithful" appeared on the Atari Forums disscussing the next installment to the seires.
