There are two ways to beat this scenario:
# The "normal" way, which is to retain as much of the scenery as possible
# The "quick" way, which is to destroy any scenery item that gives you money when you demolish it

Consider doing this scenario the "normal" way first and working with the scenery objects before doing it the "quick" way and getting rid of the scenery. The "quick" way cuts off 2-3 years of scenario play at the cost of giving you a park that bears little resemblance to the park you first start out with.

Remember:
  • The Scenario Guide below is only a suggested strategy for completing this scenario—it may not work for all players.
  • The General Scenario Guide and Hints and Tips articles may also provide helpful information in completing this scenario.
  • There are usually multiple strategies to successfully completing a scenario; these can be discussed on the scenario's discussion page or written down in an existing or additional section of this article.

Before we begin, please note that this is a paid entrance park, so you should ensure a constant flow of guests stepping through the park entrance once your park is open. The General Scenario Guide contains useful tips for such parks, so give that article a read as well.

Retain the Scenery

When you first enter the park it is derelict and also closed with the entrance fee at $9.00 which many guests will complain is too high. The entrance is in the "better" side of the park which has neat paths and colorful rides, this section of the park is also ready to open right away.

As you explore the map you will notice that about half of the park is separated by a chain link fence, splitting the park in two. You will notice that beyond the chain link fence that separates the park there are closed rides and littered paths, the flowers are dead, the scenery is brown, the roller coasters have missing parts, benches are broken and most paths are incomplete. Obviously this is where the most work needs to be done.

First of all open the park and allow guests in to the area surrounding the entrance only. Then you should open the monorail and rebuild the missing links in the roller coasters, after this you should remove the scenery blocking paths and hire handy men to clear up the litter and then rebuild the paths. Once this has been done open this part to the guests you can then open the shops and stalls whilst also opening the other rides, keep adding more rides and letting the income from you entrance fee. Keep your profits up and you should complete the scenario in 2 to 3 years. If you want, you can also replace the brown scenery found in the abandoned park with the colorful scenery found in the better part of the park so it matches but then again you don't have to as it can drain you cash and is also very time consuming.

Destroy the Scenery

An alternative method, however, turns this from difficult to ridiculously easy. First, demolish all the rides, restrooms, kiosks, and stalls. Pay back your loan with this money - as quick as possible, so you remove that drain on your money.

Then, demolish every bit of scenery that gives you money, and remove every piece of path. It should take 2-5 months in-game time, and leave you with around $45,000 or more. Now, make a simple loop of path around your park, possibly with an extra path right down the middle to increase your build-room.

Use the existing holes in the ground to run an underground roller coaster, transport ride, or gentle ride with four stations. Set your admission to $20, and open the park. Start surrounding the four stations for your underground ride with a mix of thrill rides and gentle rides, and open them as soon as they are constructed to start drawing in guests. Build a few cheap roller coasters - the Shuttle Loop version with a looping roller coaster is cheap and easy - in these areas as well.

The scenario will usually be completed by the time you've built rides in three of the four corners.
