Set your research to Thrill Rides, since you start with a decent selection of roller coasters, and add some gentle rides to the mix later.

Start by hiring additional staff, each 1 mechanic and handyman by far isn't enough to care for your rides. Now reduce the ferris wheel to 1 rotation and increase the maximum allowed people on the slide to 5 (if you decide to keep it). Reduce the maximum waiting time on the Steeplechase rides to 10 seconds, since they are synchronized and so ~~a single~~ one without passengers can create ~~huge~~ waiting times ~~for the other three~~. Since a breakdown can cause the same problem, have a mechanic patrol exclusively around those four rides.
