In the ''RollerCoaster Tycoon'' series, Frontier Developments developed the expansions for ''[[RollerCoaster Tycoon 2]]'' in 2003: ''[[Wacky Worlds]]'' and ''[[Time Twister]]''. They created their own sequel, ''[[RollerCoaster Tycoon 3]]'', with its expansions ''[[Soaked!]]'' and ''[[Wild!]]'', with Sawyer as the executive producer.

Frontier Developments is a video game developer based in Cambridge, England. It was originally founded by David Braben.

In the RollerCoaster Tycoon series, Frontier Developments developed the expansions for RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 in 2003: Wacky Worlds and Time Twister. This was the first instance where Chris Sawyer was not involved in the development process. They created their own sequel, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3, with its expansions Soaked! and Wild!, with Sawyer as the executive producer.

While Atari kept the RollerCoaster Tycoon rights, Frontier Developments released Planet Coaster on 17 November 2016, a day after RollerCoaster Tycoon World, unlike which it was very positively received.
