FreeRCT is an effort to create an open source clone of RollerCoaster Tycoon 1 and RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 without using the games' original sprites. It uses Linux as the native platform, but also supports Windows and MacOS. The project started in 2011, was temporarily abandoned in 2016 and revived in 2021, being still in an early stage of development.
