There are a total of 21 scenarios in RCT1. At the beginning of the game, only 5 scenarios are available. As scenarios are completed more are unlocked. The scenarios for the most part get progressively harder to complete. The [[Loopy_Landscapes#Scenario_list|Loopy Landscapes]] and [[Corkscrew_Follies#Scenario_list|Corkscrew Follies]] expansion packs add additional scenarios making the total about 8085 (?86 if Mega Park is unlocked). There are three real life parks in this game. They are [[Alton Towers]], [[Heide-Park]], and [[Blackpool Pleasure Beach]].
