On August 10 2013, Sol Williams (CEO of Red Coin Games) announced that they are currntly developing a sequel to Rollercoaster Tycoon and working with Chris Sawyer on the project. They has yet been no release date confirmed. More on this as it develops. |

On August 14, 2010, fans of the [[RollerCoaster Tycoon Series|RollerCoaster Tycoon games]] were asked by [[Atari]] officials (through their forums) what they would like to see implemented in a fourth installment of the game. They also stated that they were "thinking hard about the next RollerCoaster Tycoon game on PC".<ref>http://forums.atari.com/showthread.php?t=9152</ref> Many fans assumed that this meant a fourth installment was in development. However, the only game that has been released since then was ''[[RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D]]'' for the Nintendo 3DS, while [[RollerCoaster Tycoon IOS/Android|another release]] was announced for the iOS and Android mobile systems. Since [[Atari]] declared bankruptcy in January 2013, there is currently no official information on the fourth PC release of ''RollerCoaster Tycoon''. |
