• July 27th, 2009 - Awards System Begins

• January 27th, 2010 - Ride and Scenario Exchange open.
• May 13th, 2010 - Sony Pictures Animation has the rights to a movie based on the "RollerCoaster Tycoon" video game franchise, with plans to make a "live-action/CGI hybrid." Harald Zwart is involved with the project.
• August 14th, 2010 - "A message to our RCT Faithful" appeared on the Atari Forums disscussing the next installment to the seires.

2011

• February 19, 2011 RCT3 Building Exchange opened as an extension to the Ride Exchange.
• July 1, 2011 Chat is enabled.
