There are cinemas all around the world, this particular model seems to be based off domed cinemas. Although it does not seem to be based off any particular ride, it does take aspects of rides like the Spaceship Earth located at the Disney owned Epcot theme park in Bay Lake, Florida, which has a geodesic sphere to serve as a dark themed attraction.
