This is one of the only scenarios in the game where guests have a long walk to reach the rides, however this shouldn't be a big problem as there is also a chairlift. You might want to consider building roller coasters on top of the rock and smaller gentle and thrill rides aroundin themthe ordesert. onThis theis a really hard park (altough Corkcscrew Follies and groundLoopy withLandscapes someare inventivevery pathsharder!).
 
Basically, this park has three areas for constructing: the top of the rock; the desert; and the undergrond of the rock. This last one must be forgotten by the beggining. Until year 3 or year 4, you must construct only on the rock and in the desert. Start by removing the path on the top of the rock (just let the path that leads the chairlift exit, so the guests can walk up and walk down the rock only). Now, build some stalls and bathrooms in the park entrance and in the top of the rock. Fix the prices of everything. You'll have to save the space in this park. Just know that the large area of ​​the top of the rock must be kept for rides like roller-coasters, aquatic rides and go-kart tracks. The desert must be kept for small gentle and thrill rides like merry-go-round, haunted house, swinging ship and scrambled eggs. You can build a small roller-coaster (powered launch) right now in the rock's edge. It will give you more money, since that you loan is only until $15.000. Build some small rides using the right side of the desert and add foothpaths (you can use some underground sections of the rock for build the foothpaths). When you have more money, make a bigger roller-coaster on the rock.
Make sure that you have enough Handymen and Mechanics, charge rides at a high price to make money and ensure that if you are struggling to make guest numbers you can enforce marketing campaigns. Be aware that many guests don't have much money, so don't set your entry fee too high if you want to charge one, or they can't enter the park.
 
Just keep on building small rides in the desert and big rides on the rock. An aquatic ride is very useful, and a go-kart track will attract a lot of guests. If you want, you can add some desert trees in the desert and other trees on the rock to raise your park rating.
It is advisable to build a roller coaster in powered launch mode at the entrance as soon as possible. This way, guests won't get bored as easily on their long way to the top if they didn't take the chairlift. When you reach the desert area behind the rock, make another pathway (it can be underground) connecting the rock with the desert. So, guests can walk up or walk down the rock without have to go to the other side. At Year 2, you should have given the whole round in the desert around the rock. So, you guests can walk more easily. At this time, the rock should be full of rides, from roller-coasters to aquatic rides. You can build some underground rides in Year 3 or Year 4. They will attract A LOT of guests, but keep an eye on them!
You could also delete the path on the rock and build a path AROUND the rock. Then you can build rides/attractions around and inside the rock. This way guests don't have to long walk to reach the rides. Though, building might be difficult. Choose the strategy you like best.
 
DON'T FORGET hiring a lot of staff! About 30 handymen, 25 mechanics and 20 security guards. Another problem in this park is the possibility of a mechanic trying to reach a broken ride on the top of the rock but don't find a path that connects the desert to the rock. So, if you think it's better, make 3 new pathways connecting the two areas (it will totalize 4 bridges in total). And of course, don't forget building stalls and bathrooms throughout the park.
 
Four years is too much time fot getting 900 guests. You can reach the number until Year 2. But you need this time to complete the scenario in a good way. If you need more guests in Year 4, make some marketing campaigns.
