In [[RollerCoaster Tycoon|Roller Coaster Tycoon]] screenshots are snapped when the screenshot selection is clicked from the Save drop-down menu, [[RollerCoaster Tycoon 2|Roller Coaster Tycoon 2]] the default hotkey for taking screenshots is CTRL+S, in [[RollerCoaster Tycoon 3|Roller Coaster Tycoon 3]], this shortcut was changed to F10. all three games have the option to change it in the options menu.

TP4 coaster preview files can be made from [[RollerCoaster Tycoon|Roller Coaster Tycoon]] .PCX screenshot files using third party software MakeTP4.exe ©1999 Patrick J. Campbell. They will be displayed as a result of clicking the camera button on the bottom of the build selection scroll when the track description (.TD4) and the track picture (.TP4) filenames match.
