RollerCoasterJunkie's Track Designs

General Info

Let me know if this page is too wordy.

Featuring everything you could possibly, conceivably, ever need to know about my track designs. Here's what you'll see:

Excitement Score (will vary based on location and scenery).
Intensity Score
Nausea Score
Stall Conditions (may include "*"): The conditions under which a train could fail to complete the circuit.
Crash Conditions (may include "**", "***"): The conditions under which a ride could crash.
Other Notes: Any other pertinent information.

"*": Indicates that stall conditions have not been tested for all car number combinations.
"**": Indicates that otherwise nonexistent crash conditions may depend on stall conditions.
"***": Indicates no crash conditions observed. A disclaimer for my own insurance.

Important: While trying to implement one of these track designs, you might get one of three error messages:

  • Can't position this here...
  • Can't build this here: too high for supports!
  • Can't build this here: too high!

If you should see one of these error messages, don't write me off just yet. Go download the scenario file that corresponds to the park in which it was first built. Once there, study the terrain, because I guarantee you, all of those error messages have something to do with the terrain. Figure out the high points and low points of the track design, take note of how it interacts with the terrain, and then landscape accordingly.

Sisyphus (Inverted Steel Roller Coaster)

File:Sisyphus.td4

Sisyphus
  • Excitement: 7.94
  • Intensity: 9.86 (used to be above 10, despite an untold number of revisions.)
  • Nausea: 8.02
  • Stall Conditions: None.
  • Crash Conditions: None.
  • Other Notes:
    • Sisyphus is the name of an individual from Greek mythology who was condemned to push a rock up a mountain, only to have it roll back down to where he started, for all of eternity. Much the same way I felt when building this thing.
    • I make no promises, but I think this track can stand on its own, out in the open. You'll have to be really good at landscaping to build a predesigned coaster into a hill like it is in the picture.

<poll> What Do You Think Of Sisyphus? Sisyphus was great! I want to go on something more thrilling than Sisyphus. Sisyphus looks too intense for me. Just looking at Sisyphus makes me sick! I'm not riding Sisyphus. It isn't safe. </poll>
