* Log Flumes must be designed carefully, or they can go on forever. A Log Flume's only speed comes when it goes downhill, otherwise it goes at the boring pace of 2-3 mph. Use the slow speeds to develop a theme, and then climax with a big drop to keep guests coming back for more.
* It is easy to overdo a ''Log Flume'', making extra-long ride times. Make sure to not have a ride time any longer than 4 minutes, otherwise guests will get angry.
* Good excitement ratings on Log Flumes come from having plenty of scenery and other rides around. Also, make sure to have at least one huge drop that gets the guests soaked and gives the boat temporary speed.

==In Real Life==
Log flumes are a modern equivalent of the chute rides and old mill rides that were popular in the United States in the early 20th century, Shoot the Chute are a popular attraction and continue to be built today. The first modern day log flume ride opened in 1963 as the El Aserradero at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, Texas. It was constructed by Arrow Development, and the ride is still in operation. Arrow Development also built several other log flumes at other amusements parks like Log Jamboree, which opened in 1968 at Six Flags Over Georgia. Since then, this ride type has been extremely popular and has been manufactuered by many amusement ride manufacturers around the world.
