In the ''RollerCoaster Tycoon'' series, Frontier Developments developed the expansions for ''[[RollerCoaster Tycoon 2]]'' in 2003: ''[[Wacky Worlds]]'' and ''[[Time Twister]]''. This was the first instance where [[Chris Sawyer]] was not involved in the development process. They created their own sequel, ''[[RollerCoaster Tycoon 3]]'', with its expansions ''[[Soaked!]]'' and ''[[Wild!]]'', with Sawyer as the executive producer.
While [[Atari]] kept the ''RollerCoaster Tycoon'' rights, Frontier Developments released ''[[wikipedia:Planet Coaster|Planet Coaster]]'' on 17 November 2016, a day after ''[[RollerCoaster Tycoon World]]'', unlike which it was very positively received.
